Not nearly as much as I am about getting back to the ranch and trying to find the "cat" that my wife saw kill a turkey in our bottom this afternoon. Anything that even remotely resembles a cat is gonna die.
And I won't have to stand in a line or do some "quick draw" horsechit either.

I am camping outside the door of HQ at Fountain Grove... gotta be first in line for an "opportunity" at a "hunt-like experience" including (but not limited to) the possibility of "sighting" and "bagging" a "wily" Canada "goose".
Hope there aren't many other "parties" in my "assigned pool!" And that I do not "mistake" any "pied-billed grebes" or "eagles" or "F-22 "Raptor" advanced tactical fighter jets" for actual "geese!" These "non-game species" are occasionally "present" in the "hunting zone."
Do you think 38 dozen "dekes" be "enough"???

DANG, I knew it...
Well, we will just have to rely on our 17 Goose Spinners, our Goose Vortexes (three), our Goose Mallard Machines (2), our Goose Jack Kites (nine), our Tim Grounds signature Goose Flags (50-11), our Flambeau brand Goose Corn (8 bushel), and our Rick Dabs official multicolor rock'n'roll gooooooose call.
That should help round out our meager 456 Bigfoots.
Hey Joe! Radio the Teamsters to start backing those 18 wheelers up to the "assigned hunting area" !!!! We gotta get set up!

Do not be deceived. The only way I'll shoot a goose this morning is if one flies low over the Soccer complex. I may take the shootgun and a coupla shells just in case.
It could happen. A goose landed on the football field up here once several years ago. Picture made the paper.
Of course, they called it a duck.
Didn't you sell somebody a firetruck three years ago? Why are you still working then?

Did those tire dacoys have Masonite heads and a splash of white on the tail end?
Gotta be proper!
How those things ever pulled a goose is a mystery, but they did. If it wasn't so much work, it'd be interesting to put out a spread of em today and see if they'd still work.
Every season, we do an Old Schoool goose hunt.. Set out the Johnson Folding and Carry-lite pulp dacoys, wear the old canvas coat and shoot the Model 12, use the Olt's Perfect and Faulk's calls... pretty fun actually. Yep, lead 2s also. Gotta be authentic!

remember the gunny sack bags of goose floaters at FG. You might be lucky to rent one dozen, four decoys to a bag! Of course three dozen shell decoys is all you could rent at either Swan or FG. But we reduced the herd by limits Saturday and Sunday.
